The Challenge: Sunday River was in search of an agency in the Boston area to execute a well thought out PR and media relations campaign beginning in summer 2020 that supported Sunday River’s real estate development sales for Sunday River Resort’s new Merrill Hill development and Dream Maker Lodge Condominium project leading into and during the 2020/21 ski season.

The Approach: DPA felt that uncovering various pitch angles for media will be of the utmost importance to garner more press coverage for Sunday River 2030, the resort’s long-term real estate development project that Merrill Hill and Dream Maker Lodge were the focus on the first phase of the decade long project. – business, real estate, expert commentary on any and all topics that pertain to Sunday River 2030 and real estate at ski resorts, especially during this time of COVID – all of that and more will be part of our strategy to increase awareness for these unique purchase opportunities.

Results: DPA conceptualized, drafted, and distributed press releases about the two unique and new real estate opportunities at Sunday River while reinforcing the 2030 long-term development plan messaging. With the pandemic, DPA worked to develop and incorporate messaging that clearly addressed the projects amid COVID-19, i.e., safe, private, convenient real estate ownership opportunities both now and in the future, and was able to position Sunday River executives as experts and thought leaders in the Marblehead Reporter, which serves the key region in Mass. for the resort. Coverage also appeared regarding the construction of the new chairlift for Merrill Hill and DPA secured a feature on the developments including photos in the February 2020 issue of Boston Common magazine.
